Covid-19 India: 100% increase in recoveries in the past month

Last week India achieved a rare feat in the Covid-19 recoveries. Over a lakh people have got cured of the virus in a single and the country’s recovery rate is very encouraging. So far the recovery number stands at over 51 lakh but the overall recovery rate is 82.88 percent.

But the Union Ministry of Health had stated that there is a hundred percent increase in the recoveries over the last one month. The ministry further said that more than 82 percent of total cases (exceeding 50L) recovered and discharged while the active cases is below 10 lakh which is a bit concerning though.

On the other hand India has touched the 61 Lakh mark in the total case with 70,589 new cases adding in the last 24 hours. The total cases tally stands at 61,45,292 including 9,47,576 active cases and 51,01,398 recoveries.

Also for the first time after many days, the death count in a single day has dropped below 800 mark. In the last 24 hours 776 people have died and the total death tally is 96,318.
