Shruthi Haasan issues clarity on ‘getting married’

Shruti Haasan recently found herself at the center of speculation regarding her relationship status. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she addressed the buzz surrounding her alleged marriage to boyfriend Santanu Hazarika, dispelling the claims and setting the record straight.

The speculation gained traction when Bollywood’s well-known figure, Orhan Awatramani, commonly known as Orry, referred to Santanu Hazarika as Shruti’s ‘husband’ during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit.

In response to the rumors, Shruti Haasan candidly shared on her Instagram Stories, “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down.”

The controversy further unfolded when Orry, during the Reddit session, shared an incident where he claimed Shruti Haasan was rude to him at an event. Orry expressed his disappointment, stating that he had even facilitated her entry into the event.

Orry’s comments raised eyebrows, and he went on to claim that there were rumors about Shruti referring to him as a “Pune” (peon), comparing him to a spot boy.
