Model Tanya Singh (28) died by suicide at her Surat residence. She was found hanging two days back. The police could not find any leads in the case until they started suspecting a possible connection to an IPL cricketer.
The police on Wednesday stated that they found preliminary leads indicating a friendship between Tanya Singh and the Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma. Police recovered a message sent by Tanya Sharma to Abhishek Sharma on WhatsApp.
Abhishek Sharma has not been contacted by the police yet, but he will be sent a notice for clarification. According to an Indian Express report, Abhishek Sharma blocked her phone number and had not been responding to her messages on social media.
Tanya Singh’s body was discovered by her father on Monday morning. Tanya Singh was a fashion designer and has a good following on social media platforms.
