Indians In UAE Need Not Register With Embassy For Travel To India

Indians in the United Arab Emirates need not register with the Indian Embassy any longer if they want to travel to India. The tickets can be directly booked with Air India Express, as per the Air Bubble agreement between India and UAE.

With the modes including Air India, Air India-Express private and foreign carriers, chartered flights, land-border crossing, and naval ships, as many as 17.2 lakh Indians have been repatriated under Vande Bharat Mission so far from the start of the pandemic.

Phase VII of the Vande Bharat Mission has around 873 international flights scheduled from 25 countries, for the month of October. India made a bilateral air bubble agreement with 14 countries for the repatriation.

The Vande Bharat Mission started in May to evacuate Indians stranded in the foreign countries as the pandemic hit and many countries including India imposed a ban on air travel and landing of international flights.
