Controversial YouTuber Praneeth Hanumanthu has been arrested following his “objectionable” comments against children while he was roasting a foreign reel involving a father and daughter. Praneeth was arrested in Bengaluru by Hyderabad Police based on a PT warrant. As per reports, Praneeth is being shifted to Hyderabad.
Allegedly, Praneeth along with a group of men made some sexist remarks that didn’t go down well. Praneeth’s comments received severe backlash and flak from all corners.
Various celebrities raised their strong voice against Praneeth. This led to the Telangana Cyber Bureau registering an FIR. CM Revanth Reddy and other key ministers of the government vowed stern action by condemning his act.
Though Praneeth had removed the video following widespread criticism and publicly apologised, the damage has already been done.
Praneeth is likely to be produced in front of the court soon. More details are awaited.
