Post July third week and in August and September months, India’s new Covid-19 positive cases kept spiking up every day. But from the beginning of the October, the daily cases are coming down and for the first time since July 17th, India reported below 40K cases in a single day.
In the last 24 hours, 36,469 new positive cases were reported and this took the total tally to 79,46,429. Among the total cases, the active ones are 6,25,857 while the recovered cases are 72,01,070.
63,842 people have recovered in the last 24 hours and 448 people have died taking the total death tally to 1,19,502.
India’s recovery rate stands at 90.3 percent while fatality rate is 1.5 percent.
