An angry father who was upset with the way his complaint was pursued, traveled all the way from Kuwait to Andhra Pradesh to kill a man who molested his daughter.
An immigrant worker Anjaneya Prasad and his wife Chandrakala were both living in Kuwait for the last few years while their 12-year-old daughter was staying with Chandrakala’s sister Lashmi and her family in Obulavaripalli in the Annamayya district of Andhra Pradesh.
Anjaneya Prasad reportedly booked a roundtrip, visited AP on December 7, and killed 59-year-old Gutta Anjaneyulu, who is the father-in-law of Lakshmi.
Chandrakala filed a complaint with police against Anjaneyulu.
Prasad confessed to the crime in a video after reaching Kuwait. He said, ‘I could not tolerate the turmoil my daughter underwent while explaining how much she suffered when the man had touched and pressed parts of her body while removing her clothes one night. Police just chided the old man and his family instead of taking action against them. Lakshmi had been telling all that they managed the police by throwing money. This is another humiliation and that is why I booked a round-trip ticket. I traveled to the village, carried out my intended actions against the elderly man, and then made my way back to Kuwait.
I want this video to be shared and it reaches the Chief Minister so that no one else dares to molest a girl child. I will soon return to India and surrender to the police. I know what I have done is wrong,’ said Anjaneya Prasad.
