The 82nd Golden Globe Awards commenced with grandeur in Los Angeles. Unexpectedly, the Indian film All We Imagine as Light faced disappointment in the competition for Best Non-English Language Motion Picture and Best Director.
In the Best Non-English Language Motion Picture category, the French musical crime comedy Emilia Perez emerged victorious, leaving the Indian entry without an award. Despite the setback, All We Imagine as Light stood tall by competing with global cinema heavyweights.
All We Imagine as Light is a drama film written and directed by Payal Kapadia. The cast includes Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhaya Kadam and Hridhu Haroon. The film features the dialogues in Hindi and Marathi. The film is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
The Golden Globe Awards, organized annually since 1944 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), aim to honor exceptional talent in the film and television industries worldwide. With 105 members representing about 60 countries, the HFPA ensures a comprehensive and diverse selection process.
