After an elongated period of heat wave that rose up the temperatures in the city, Hyderabad is now cooling down with a round of strong thunderstorms across the city.
The heat wave that started off on March 11, subsided, gradually with the onset of the thunderstorm today as the city witnessed the rains in many parts.
Several main junctures of Hyderabad, including Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, and other areas observed substantial rainfall with a strong downpour.
Due to the extreme heat conditions, the severity of the thunderstorm is also pretty significant and several areas reported thunderbolt strikes. The combination of rains and thunderbolts gave a hot and cold experience to the residents.
But nevertheless, these torrential rains give a momentary break from the scorching heat conditions that have been sustaining for the last few days.
