IPL is nearly entering its penalty stage with the first half of the tournament getting almost completed. Now that the clear patterns have emerged and the point table is looking more consolidated, here is a look at the chances of each of the teams to qualify for the play-offs.
Delhi Capitals who had won for out of their four games till now has a 75% chance of qualifying while the table topper Gujarat Titans is with 74% chance. Kolkata Knight Riders have 55% chance while Punjab Kings have 52%.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru are sitting right in the middle with 50% chance of qualification. Lucknow is following closely with 47% chance.
Coming to the bottom quarter of the table, Rajasthan has 27% chance. Then come the three worst performing teams in the IPL this year and they are Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Mumbai has been given logical chance of 11% while Chennai is confined to 6% and Hyderabad stands at the very bottom with 4%.
These are the calculations and projections based on the current positioning in the points table, and they are always subject to change based on the upcoming performances of the teams. It has to be seen if the bottom three sides can pull off a miracle and somehow make it to the playoffs this year.
