There is no cricketer in the world who can put up as polar performances as Rohit Sharma. When he is playing for the Indian national site, then he is an absolute monster and gives positive starts to the team more often than not. He is the one who injects intent to the team at the top of the order and set the stage for the remaining batting order.

This was evident in the case of the recent T20 World Cup and champions trophy victories where Rohit Sharma played a decisive role as a batsmen and also as a Captain.

However, when it comes to the IPL Rohit Sharma becomes a completely different player as he puts on horrendous performances. This has been the case for many years as Rohit Sharma has been consistently failing at the top of the batting order for Mumbai.

Even in the 2025 season Rohit is averaging just 11.8 and he hasn’t crossed 20 runs in a single innings till now. He has scored 0, 8, 13, 17, 18 till now. Had it been any other player than the concerned IPL franchise would have happily rested him. But considering the legacy of Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians is still continuing to persist with him.

Being the most experienced player in the side, a lot is expected from Rohit Sharma by the Mumbai Indians franchise, but his efforts with the bat have been questionable.
