Amidst the hot tensions at the India-Pakistan border and in view of the latest developments, the central government had asked the states to organise a mock drill to raise public awareness of how to equip themselves to handle hostile situations. The Telangana government is also prepared to host this. On this note, there are some important points to note.
The mock drill will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. as part of the nationwide civil defence preparedness initiative. In Hyderabad, 244 vulnerable districts have been identified for the drill.
As part of the mock drill, police loudspeakers, industrial sirens, fire services, and patrol vehicles across Hyderabad will activate sirens citywide for two minutes. By 4:15 p.m., simulated air raid impacts will be reported in four locations across the city.
The following steps will be followed as soon as you hear the siren.
The mock drill is expected to be concluded in 15 minutes.
