KPCC President DK Shivakumar’s daughter Aishwarya is engaged to Amartya Hegde, son of the late founder of Cafe Coffee Day VG Siddhartha, on Thursday. Amartya is the grandson of former Chief Minister of Karnataka, SM Krishna. He is the eldest son of Siddhartha and SM Krishna’s eldest daughter Malavika.
Amartya is looking after the business after his father Siddhartha died, while Aishwarya is looking after the Engineering college Global Academy of Technology, run by her father.
Amartya’s father Siddhartha had died by suicide in July 2019 due to financial troubles. He drowned to death and his body was found in the Netravati river in Dakshina Kannada district.
It was a private ceremony at a hotel near Kempegowda International Airport. The wedding will be held on February 19, 2021, at Palace Grounds. Karnataka CM Yediyurappa attended the event.
