New York Schools To Remain Closed This Academic Year

The number of Coronavirus cases and deaths slowed down in New York, yet due to the schools in the state are to remain closed through the end of this academic year, to keep children students and school staff safe.

In a wake to not risk the lives or neglect the struggle so far gone through to slow down the cases, NY state governor Andrew M Cuomo confirmed the school closure through the end of the academic year.

With a total number of coronavirus cases of more than 318,250 in New York state, there are more than 24,150 deaths so far. 289 people have died on Friday, which is the first time the state recording the death toll below 300 since March 30.

The hospitalizations are still higher, almost at 900 for a consecutive fourth day. On the other side, the New Jersey state is recording more deaths per day than New York. More than 300 died due to coronavirus on Friday, while there were 460 deaths on Thursday.
