Sachin Tendulkar’s 25-year-old son, Arjun Tendulkar, reportedly got engaged yesterday to Mumbai-based Saaniya Chandok, who acts as Designated Partner and Director at the Mumbai-based pet nutrition and welfare firm Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP. The news comes as a big surprise to everyone, with limited attention given to the event in the media.
Saaniya belongs to a family that has been in business for decades. They are well established and successful in Mumbai city as well as the states around Maharashtra. Saaniya is the granddaughter of prominent Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, who is the chairman of the Graviss Group. The Graviss Group is a big name in the hospitality and food-and-beverage industry.
The Graviss Group heads an organisation with ventures such as the famous Kwality ice cream, the Brooklyn Creamery, and the upscale Inter Continental Hotel on Marine Drive.
Saaniya is reportedly friends with Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar. Intentionally, the family kept the event private. So far, there is no official statement from the family about the engagement ceremony.
