One of the major complaints against the previous YCP government in Andhra Pradesh was the lack of an investment-friendly culture. Between 2019 and 2024, very few major companies even considered Andhra Pradesh, let alone investing here.
Now, things are changing rapidly. We are seeing significant improvements in the investment ecosystem of Andhra Pradesh. Leading companies like TCS and Cognizant have already started establishing their units here. The current government is proactively encouraging this growth by offering land to top companies at just 99 paise per acre.
In this context, another global IT consultancy giant, Accenture, is now preparing to set up its unit in Andhra Pradesh.
According to reports from leading national media outlets, Accenture is in discussions with the Andhra Pradesh government and has requested 10 acres of land in Vizag to establish its facility.
Once the proposal is approved, Accenture reportedly plans to employ nearly 12,000 people for this mega project. This would be one of the largest employment drives in the state, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh is expected to give this project top priority.
