Change Maker Of The Year Award Goes To..

Araku Valley Coffee has added another proud chapter to its journey. At the Business Line Changemaker Awards 2025, the Girijan Cooperative Corporation’s (GCC) premium Araku Coffee was honored with the Change Maker of the Year Award in the Financial Transformation category.

The award ceremony took place in Mumbai where Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri presented the award to GCC Managing Director and Vice Chairperson Kalpana Kumari.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalpana Kumari said that Araku Coffee is not just a brand but a symbol of dignity for tribal communities. She credited the vision and support of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for making this recognition possible.

Over the years, GCC has transformed the coffee economy of the tribal belt by providing better prices, introducing modern practices, and securing a place for Araku Coffee in global markets. With its Geographical Indication (GI) tag and organic certification, Araku Coffee now stands as one of India’s most respected coffee brands.

This award not only celebrates the success of a unique product but also highlights the empowerment of tribal farmers whose livelihoods are directly linked to the growth of Araku Coffee.
