Singer Secures Spot In Guinness Book For Funding 3,800 Heart Surgeries

Singer Palak Mucchal has now won world acclaim. Though known for her mellifluous voice and popular hits like ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ and ‘Kaun Tujhe’, Mucchal has secured a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of Records for her outstanding social service.

The singer helped over 3,800 underprivileged children by funding their heart surgeries not just in India, but in foreign countries too. Through her Palak Palash Charitable Foundation, she has brought change in the lives of many marginalized people, embodying compassion in her service.

Apparently, Palak had a predisposition to help others since her childhood, which began reflecting in her humanitarian work through her Foundation. The proceeds of her concerts and personal savings are directed towards medical interventions needed for the poor.

Her benevolence is not restricted to just one cause. In the past, she extended support to the families of Kargil martyrs and contributed Rs 10 lakh towards relief for Gujarat earthquake victims. Her inclination towards social service has been committed as a major portion of her earnings go into the Foundation which is connected with generous and community welfare activities.

Her husband, Mithoon, a composer, has been a constant support to both Palak and her philanthropic initiatives. His remarks, “Even if there’s no show, no income – a child’s surgery will never stop” reflect his unwavering commitment to the couple’s dedication to keep the mission alive, despite monetary obstacles.
