Social media platform X (formerly Twitter), ChatGPT and others, are currently facing a major disruption affecting scores of users across the world. The disruption impacted core functions like logging in, loading new posts and access to the app and website. It is learnt that the disruption is due to Cloudflare outage.
Cloudflare is a web infrastructure company which reported of having other issues that affected other services. On its status page, Cloudflare said it was investigating the issue.
“Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which impacts multiple customers: Widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing. We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly,” the company communicated.
Users faced disruption around 5.15 pm (IST). According to Downdetector, at that time, there were more than 11,500 reports of issues on X. Many of the users complained of facing issues with feed, website and server connectivity.
