India’s star woman cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal were supposed to enter into wedlock on Sunday evening at the Mandhana farm house in Samdol, Maharashtra. Unfortunately, the wedding ceremony has been postponed indefinitely after Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas Mandhana suffered heart attack while preparations were underway earlier today.
At around 01:30 PM, Smriti’s father developed a slight pain on left sided chest and an ambulance was immediately called to the wedding venue. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital and an angioplasty was performed on him as the condition was slightly critical. As per the latest reports, he is now stable and under observation. Due to the sudden medical emergency, the family of Smriti Mandhana decided to call of the marriage festivities with immediate effect.
The couple and both families requested media to maintain privacy and announced that the new date will be revealed once Srinivas Mandhana recovers completely. The decorations and other arrangements have been ordered to be removed at the venue.
Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana have been in a relationship since 2024. They announced her engagement days after India won the 2025 World Cup, beating South Africa. Ahead of their wedding, Smriti and Palash shared a heart-warming moment at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and this video went viral on social media platforms.
