Jennifer Lopez created a major buzz in Udaipur this week when she arrived in a rose gold couture saree for the wedding of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju. Her appearance became the highlight of a four day celebration that brought together global guests, lavish venues and spectacular performances.
Netra is the daughter of US based pharma billionaire Rama Raju Mantena and Vamsi is the co founder of Superorder. Their celebrations took place across some of Udaipur’s most iconic locations such as The Leela Palace, Taj Lake Palace, City Palace, Jagmandir Island Palace and Zenana Mahal. The main ceremony at Jagmandir turned the seventeenth century structure into a floral wonder. The guest list included business leaders, film celebrities and even Donald Trump Junior.
Top Bollywood stars also performed at the events. Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Dhawan entertained the guests, with many of their acts going viral online.
The biggest attraction however was Jennifer Lopez. Reports say she was paid around Rs 17 Crs for her appearance and her closing performance at the post wedding event. She wore a sculpted rose gold saree with a strapless bodice and pastel gemstone jewellery.
This is not the first time Lopez has performed at a Udaipur wedding. In 2015 she sang at the grand Hinduja wedding held at Jagmandir. That celebration was known for its massive scale with thousands of guests, chartered flights and a long list of film stars in attendance.
