How Many IndiGo Flight Canceled Today?

India’s largest airline, IndiGo, is still struggling to stabilise its operations, with more than 300 flights cancelled/rescheduled today across the country. This comes right after the massive disruption on Saturday, when the airline scrapped over 800 flights, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at major airports.

Airports in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad saw heavy crowds, long queues and repeated last-minute cancellations, creating panic among travellers.

The core issue behind this collapse is IndiGo’s miscalculation of pilot availability after new crew-rostering rules came into effect. The airline has openly admitted that it underestimated the impact of these changes, leading to a severe staff shortage.

With public pressure rising, the government has stepped in and ordered IndiGo to clear all pending refunds by Sunday evening. Domestic airfare caps have also been imposed to prevent ticket prices from shooting up during the crisis.

Frustrated passengers have reported chaotic terminals, luggage delays, and the fear that more flights may get cancelled without warning. Many are now rushing to find alternative travel options or waiting for their refunds to be processed.

As the situation remains uncertain, travellers are being advised to keep checking their flight status and follow official updates from IndiGo before heading to the airport.
