Bondi Beach Attack: Attacker Was From Hyderabad!

Indian officials have confirmed that one of the attackers in the Bondi Beach shooting in Australia was originally from Hyderabad. The attacker, Sajid Akram, was 50 years old and last visited India in 2022.

Sajid moved to Australia in 1998 on a student visa and lived there for many years. Though he belonged to Tolichowki in Hyderabad, he came to India only a few times. Sajid married a European woman in Australia and continued to hold an Indian passport.

His son Naveed, who was also involved in the attack, was born in Australia in 2001 and is an Australian citizen. He was injured and is currently under treatment.

Indian authorities said that early checks show no local links in India connected to the attack. They added that they do not have details about his activities in Australia.

Australian officials are in touch with Indian authorities as the investigation continues. At present, there is no evidence linking the incident to any group or activity in India.
