Hyderabad is once again in the spotlight over a drug-related controversy. The brother of a popular Telugu and Hindi actress has emerged as a key figure in the case.
He has been listed as an accused in a drug case registered at Masab Tank and is currently absconding. Even in the past, he was caught in a drug scandal.
Recently, police arrested two traders, Nitin Singhania and Shrenik Singhvi, from Troop Bazaar. During their interrogation, the involvement of the actress’ brother came out.
The officials seized 43 grams of drugs from the arrested accused, and further investigation revealed that he was a regular buyer from these traders.
The sources also indicate that he has a previous criminal background related to drug cases. Last year as well, there were reports of police catching individuals consuming drugs in the Cyberabad area, with links allegedly pointing to him.
Police are now probing whether other influential individuals are connected to this network. More details are awaited.
