People across the Telugu states are enjoying a festive holiday mood with Christmas vacations, year end celebrations, and the Sankranthi festival drawing closer. Many families are using this time to travel, relax, and spend quality time together. As a result, tourist destinations and pilgrimage centers are seeing a sharp rise in visitors.
Popular tourist spots like Araku Valley are packed with travelers from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and neighboring states. Hotels and lodges are running at full capacity, and visitors are facing difficulty finding accommodation. Scenic viewpoints, gardens, and leisure spots are crowded from early morning till late evening.
At the same time, major temples are witnessing heavy pilgrim rush. Tirumala is especially crowded due to ongoing Vaikunta Ekadasi, Brahmotsavams. Devotees are waiting for long hours for darshan, while authorities are working to manage the crowd and traffic flow.
The travel rush is also clearly visible on highways, especially on routes connected to Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam. Continuous traffic jams, packed trains, and busy bus stations have become common. While the festive spirit and pleasant weather are attracting people to travel, traffic congestion and accommodation shortages are emerging as key challenges this holiday season.
