Curious Case Of Vanasthalipuram: A Kirana Family Shocks All

They are three families who run Kirana stores in Vanasthalipuram and Saroornagar area of Hyderabad. They have Kirana as well as vegetable, milk and other grocery stores. And now, almost 11 members of that family have fallen prey for Covid-19, while one of their customers also caught the virus after buying milk for them. Here’s how Vanasthalipuram turned into a shocking containment zone now.

A person who runs a Kirana store in Saroornagar has first got a fever and later found to be a Covid-19 patient. And then, his father fell down in a bathroom only to die but was later revealed that he is positive.

After the man in the hospital also died, it was found that his wife and second son are also infected by the virus. And now, other members of this family, which runs three kirana stores got infected, thus having 11 members of the same family testing positive for the virus.

And then, when authorities started to worry if the family might have spread the infection to their customers, a 60-year-old lady who purchased milk from them turned out to be positive. Shocked authorities have sent 169 people into quarantine now and trying to identify other contacts of this family. Also three areas where these people are completely locked now for the next one week.
