The patriotic spirit of the Indian community cannot be questioned, but there are moments when such expressions cross limits and invite strong criticism. This appears to be the case with the latest Republic Day celebrations organised by the Indian community in Australia.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Indians can be seen celebrating Republic Day in a grand manner in Australia. While the exact location has not been disclosed, it is evident that the celebrations were held on a large scale, highlighting strong patriotic enthusiasm.

Soon after the video surfaced online, several contrasting reactions began to emerge. A significant section of viewers commented that such loud and aggressive celebrations may not be appropriate in a foreign country.

Many pointed out that the extensive use of drums and loud shouting could disturb local residents, which is not generally expected from a migrant community living abroad.

Adding to the concern is the fact that Australia has recently tightened its stance on immigration. Several Australian universities have reduced student intake from India, and permanent residency restrictions are currently at a high level.
