HYDRAA Saves 2200 Cr Worth Land In Madhapur!

Chief minister Revanth Reddy initiated the HYDRAA project in order to retain the government lands across the urban pockets in Hyderabad and prevent private encroachment. This project reaped good rewards as a large degree of water body lands and government lands were recovered in and around Hyderabad. 

Now, HYDRAA conducted a major enforcement operation on Thursday near the Hitec Exhibition Centre in Madhapur and successfully reclaimed 11 acres of encroached government land. The combine value of the land that was recovered by HYDRAA today rounds out to around Rs 2200 crore. 

The large-scale operation was carried out at Khanamet village in Serilingampally Mandal, Rangareddy district as HYDRAA officials removed hundreds of temporary sheds and over 30 commercial shops that had been illegally constructed in and around Mondikunta Lake.

After informing the encroachers and providing them reasonable time, HYDRAA proceeded with the removal operation on Thursday under heavy security arrangements. Hundreds of temporary sheds and illegal structures were demolished as part of the drive.

Local residents gathered in large numbers and appreciated HYDRAA’s decisive action in protecting Mondikunta Lake and reclaiming government land.

Residents expressed happiness over the removal of encroachments and requested the authorities to develop parks on the reclaimed land and undertake beautification and restoration works for the lake.

Recovering such a vast piece of land at the heart of the city in Madhapur is an appreciable achievement and if the authorities can develop recreational facilities here, then it would strike a positive impression amongst the public.
