Biggest Sport WC in 48 Hrs: No Hype, No Tickets!

The FIFA World Cup is the most watched sporting event in the world, and it has been the case for many decades now. Particularly the 2022 World Cup, which was won by Argentina, is one of the most famous World Cup events till now.

Now this stage is set for the start of the 2026 season of this prestigious sporting event, but things are not looking promising at this point in time.

Firstly, India did not even have a broadcast partner for the FIFA World Cup before Zee sports came in and bought the rights for a very low price. From being one of the biggest supporters of football sport a few years back, India has gone to a completely different point now.

Apart from that, it is being established that more than 1.8 lakh tickets that were originally issued for the FIFA World Cup are yet to be sold. Many of these tickets are being resolved in the resale market and that’s a worrying sign.

For the first time in history, the stadium that would be hosting FIFA World Cup could be witnessing empty seats. Many people are saying that the high ticket price is imposed by the United States, which is hosting the World Cup could be main factor for the same.

Generally, the FIFA World Cup tickets are much in demand and sell for thousands of dollars in the market, but the situation is the exact opposite this time.

Meanwhile, the stage is being prepared for the start of the World Cup from June 12, while Argentina, France and Spain will start the tournament as the favourites.
