The kind of non-vegetarian items Hyderabad has to serve are beyond ordinary, and it is not an exaggeration to say that the city produces one of the finest culinary experiences to the patrons consistently.
However, things have been rather shady when it comes to the safety of the food items, and also the hygienic standards.
Reportedly, Hyderabad finds itself at the bottom among major Indian metros for FSSAI food hygiene ratings. This news report has been going viral on social media since the last few hours and it is leaving the food lovers extremely panicked.
Apparently, there are around 75,000 food outlets across the city, but only around 360 of them happened to have food licenses and adequate certification. This is an agonisingly low percentage of hotels with verified documentation.
The concerned corporation has been fighting very hard to maintain food safety standards with repeated inspections and checks but the implementation of the standards in full compliance is yet to be established.
