The anticipation for the sequel to Pawan Kalyan’s gangster drama ‘OG’ started gaining huge momentum in the last few days as the makers have officially announced their plans to make it happen very soon. The formidable trio of Pawan Kalyan, Sujeeth and SS Thaman are set to reunite again for this much hyped project.
Interestingly, Thaman seems to have saved his best for Pawan Kalyan again just like how he delivered a scintillating background score for OG, which played a key role in elevating high-octane action episodes. The just now released new OST titled “The Origin of Fire” hints that the composer is getting ready to send fans into ruptures with his rendition for the sequel.
The audio track features an energetic electronic beat with a pulsating rhythm. It is accompanied by stylized vocalizations shouting words like “Samurai”, “Yakuza”, and “Santoryu” over the driving synth sounds, giving it an action-focused, cinematic quality.
The lyrics and music are tailor made to match the larger-than-life aura and inimitable mannerisms of Pawan Kalyan, who is set to return as Ojas Gambheera in the second installment.
In the first part, Thaman’s superlative score didn’t just accompany the visuals, but also amplified Pawan Kalyan’s powerful screen presence and Sujeeth’s slick narration. This turned out to be the unique selling point for the film.
For the second part, there will be high expectations on Thaman to come up with a more thumping output. He has already started promoting the project with signature style elevations on social media. With this OST, it is once again proved that Thaman will not miss the mark when it comes to Pawan Kalyan’s films.
