Hyd Breaking Bad: Man Used YouTube To Sell Wine!

One of the most popular TV shows in English, Breaking Bad revolves around a couple of individuals who prepare addictive synthetic drugs in an unauthorised enclosure and sell it for money. A similar story has developed in Hyderabad now.

A man has allegedly learned wine making process by watching videos on YouTube and he started selling wine at his place for low prices, attracting customers.

The accused in discussion here is identified as Antony Peter and was producing wine at an unauthorised facility and selling it in Neredmet, Secunderabad and Kapra areas in Hyderabad

According to the police, Antony learnt the wine-making process by watching YouTube videos and began the business to make money. He produced seven varieties of wine using grapes, pineapple, guava, sweet lime, sapota, banana and betel leaves.

Officials said the fruits were fermented for 15 days with sugar and wheat before being filtered and bottled. The interesting observation here is that the accused allegedly sold 750 ml bottles for ₹300.

After receiving the information on this, the Malkajgiri District Task Force raided the premises and seized 377 litres of wine, 502 bottles and equipment used in the manufacturing process, valued at around ₹1.5 lakh.
