Covid Cases Rising Again?

Covid 19 is making headlines again with fresh cases being reported in Andhra Pradesh. While the numbers are still low, health officials are asking people not to ignore the situation.

According to the Andhra Pradesh Health Department, 12 Covid cases have been reported between June 26 and July 16. Four patients have died, but officials clarified that all of them had serious existing health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney disease.

Kadapa reported the highest number of cases with eight, followed by Guntur with two, while Visakhapatnam and Kakinada reported one case each. Officials said these are isolated cases from different areas and not a cluster outbreak.

At present, three patients are recovering in home isolation, two are receiving treatment in hospitals, and three have already recovered and been discharged.

Health experts say there is no need to panic, but people should remain careful. Elderly people, pregnant women, young children, and those with existing medical conditions should be extra cautious. If you have symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, or breathing difficulty, it is better to get tested and consult a doctor instead of ignoring them.

Across India, several states including Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Delhi have also reported fresh Covid cases in recent weeks.

The situation is not alarming at the moment, but it is a reminder that Covid has not completely disappeared. Maintaining good hygiene, washing hands regularly, and staying away from others when feeling unwell can help prevent the virus from spreading. Stay alert, but don’t panic.
