On the occasion of her birthday on August 1, Anna Konidela marked the day with a meaningful gesture by adopting an Asian elephant and a Royal Bengal tiger at the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park in Visakhapatnam for one year.
As part of the adoption, she donated Rs 6.30 lakh to the zoo authorities. The amount includes Rs 4.30 lakh for the elephant and Rs 2 lakh for the tiger. The funds will be used for the animals’ food, care and medical expenses.
Zoo officials appreciated the initiative and said such contributions play an important role in supporting wildlife conservation and the welfare of animals.
