Hyd: Mom Throws 9 Month Baby Into Lake

A heartbreaking incident has shocked Hyderabad after a 34 year old woman was accused of drowning her nine month old baby girl in a lake.

The incident took place at Byramalguda Lake under the LB Nagar Police Station limits. The baby, identified as Anuradha, was allegedly thrown into the lake by her mother, “Lokasani Rajeswari”.

Police said the woman was reportedly under the influence of alcohol during the incident. The baby’s body was recovered from the lake and shifted to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem.

A case has been registered, and police are investigating what led to the tragic incident. The accused is in custody, and further details are expected after the investigation.
