Pulwama Encounter: Top Terrorist Killed

Top Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, Riyaz Naikoo, who had a bounty of Rs 12 lakh on his head, was killed in Pulwama encounter. Riyaz along with two other terrorists were killed by security forces in an operation in Kashmir’s Pulwama district. This is a victory to the security forces.

Riyaz belonged to A ++ category. He had been on the run for eight years. In a special operation launched by security forces in Beighbora village of Pulwama district, Riyaz was shot dead. Ever since Mohammad Yasin alias Mehmood Ghaznawi was killed in Aug 2017 in a gunfight in Shopian’s Awneera, Riyaz Naikoo had been leading the Hizbul. He had emerged as the most wanted militant in Kashmir valley.

Three days ago, five security personnel, including a Colonel, a Major, and a sub-inspector and two soldiers, and two militants were killed in Kashmir’s Handwara. So, Riyaz’s death is considered as a retaliation and a major victory to Indian Armed Forces.
