Criticism On China govt: Billionaire Jack Ma Goes Missing

The China government doesn’t tolerate criticism and in the past we have seen many instances when politicians, journalists, scientists questioned the China government and then faced the consequences. And now China’s leading billionaire too made the same and he has gone missing.

He is Jack Ma who is the founder of Alibaba group. Apparently Jack Ma has reportedly not been seen in public for more than two months now and reports are coming out that he has gone missing.

This has a history. In October at a business conference, Jack Ma criticised the Chinese regulators and state-run banks for hampering the opportunities. In his speech he added that many reforms should be brought in the current system.

Right after this speech, the trouble had started for Jack Ma. The Shanghai and Hong Kong Stock Exchanges have suspended Ant (Alibaba subsidiary) Group’s IPO of USD 39.7 billion. Also in the last two months or so, Jack Ma has lost over 10 million and eventually he was dethroned as Asia’s richest man.

Coming to his missing, Jack Ma was supposed to appear for the filming of his own talent show, Africa’s Business Heroes. But he did not make it to the show while Alibaba group claimed that there is a conflict of schedule behind Jack Ma’s absence.
