Under the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission, the Centre is bringing stranded Indian across the globe to the country. However, the travelers are being put into ‘Paid Quarantine’ by the respective state governments. In Telangana, the travelers who landed in Hyderabad were moved to five star hotels where quarantine arrangements are made.
However, these five star hotels are cashing the opportunity and are charging a bomb from NRIs. Speaking to the media, a traveler said, “As we landed in Hyderabad airport, the officials have indirectly blackmailed us to go to five star hotels with ‘Paid Quarantine’ or Gandhi hospital where quarantine is free of cost but have to stay with Corona patients.”
The ‘Paid Quarantine’ is divided into two segments i.e, Rs 15,000 and Rs 30,000 at the star hotels. The traveler added that these five star hotels are charging Rs 500 for a single burger and the food quantity, they are providing is very less. The hotels are not even serving warm water when asked and this situation is pathetic. There are also pregnant ladies in this quarantine and they too are not getting the due medical attention.
The traveler was upset that with many hopes, they came to the country but the government and star hotels are taking advantage of this.
