How Many Zeroes Are There In 20 Lakh Crores?

Other day Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again met the country’s people through his trademark live speeches on TV, and the best part of this ‘Aatma Nirbhar’ monologue is the 20 lakh crores package he has announced. Explaining that lockdown 4.0 will be different, he promised various reforms in the way country functions from now onwards.

However, the moment Modi announced the package of 20 lakhs crores, many started calculating how much money each individual will get from it. While the math is simple, divide the 20 lakh crores by 130 crores (Population of India) to get how much every single individual will get.

But then, how many zeroes are there in 20 lakh crores? After division, some say each citizen will get Rs 15,000 only some say it is 15 lakhs. That triggered a sort of storm on the internet.

While some rushed to calculators only to find that the normal calculators are showing an ‘error’ message, some took to their phones to calculate the same. And some went to google, with a hope that they will find an answer as the search engine shows how many are trying to search about this. Following this, there are a lots of memes on the social media where people are tired counting the number of zeroes in 20 lakh crores.
