Rather going for layoffs and cuts, actually, Asian Paints is going ahead with the proposed salary hikes and is also giving bonuses to a few hardworking employees. This is because the company wants to instill confidence among its employees that they will stand behind them, no matter what.
Yesterday after ‘Asian Paints’ announced the salary hike, the shares of the company surged by 2% on the stock market. Also, Asian Paints asked all its vendors to put the payouts to the company on hold such that they will have the working capital to resume the business.
