#IPL: Rishabh Pant Takes Over DC Captaincy

Indian star wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant has taken over the captaincy of Delhi Capitals team. This makes Rishabh the fourth youngest cricketer to captain an IPL team. India’s middle order Shreyas Iyer was leading Delhi Capitals but during the ODI series against England, Shreyas suffered shoulder dislocation.

The medical team of BCCI has assessed Shreyas condition and his reports forced him to rule out the complete IPL tournament. This is a major blow not just for the Delhi Capitals but for the Indian team as the T20 World Cup is scheduled later in the year.

Nevertheless Rishabh has been growing from strength to strength and is the backbone of India’s batting side. His destructive batting is something that earned him huge fans and now to lead DC will make him a better batter.

All the major players across cricketing nations are taking part in this IPL to learn the Indian conditions which will be a preparation for the World Cup.

Delhi Capitals will clash with Chennai Super Kings on April 10th in Mumbai.
