Perhaps you might have noticed hashtags like #ZeeWarriors and #ZeeHadi trending on Twitter and wonder what is happening there. While some claim that Zee journalists have done their duty and with their editor Sudhir Chaudhary defending them, some claim that Zee offices should be sealed as they are spreading coronavirus. Here goes the story.
Apparently, a journalist who belongs to Zee News channel has been tested positive for Covid-19 last Friday. And then, worried about the health of others, when all the other staff of the channel who worked with them are tested, nearly 28 people turned positive though they are asymptomatic patients. Ever since the news is out in the public domain, everyone took to social media to condemn Zee News management.
And with Zee News being the top channel that covered extensively on Tablighi Jamaat incident with its editor demanding a special inquiry into the mosque and also said that Tablighi is the hotbed of coronavirus that is derailing India’s efforts to contain the virus. Now the liberals have started using same words on Zee, saying that Zee Media Markaz is the new hotbed of the Covid-19 pandemic. This led to trending of hashtags like #ZeeWarriors and #Zeehadi
But then Zee News has clarified that their offices in Noida are sealed on Friday itself by the authorities as a precautionary measure.
