IPL: Was Ben Stokes forcefully sent back to England?

Rajasthan Royals’ star all-rounder Ben Stokes ruled out of IPL 2021 just after playing one game, due to a finger injury. Stokes injured his finger while playing the first game against Punjab Kings. He left for England the other day and his teammates bid an emotional farewell for him.

It is now being heard that Stokes was not interested to go back home and wanted to stay back. Apparently, he wanted to give suggestions to the young players and wanted to stay with the franchise throughout this season. But he needs immediate surgery. Thus, England Cricket Board asked Rajasthan Royals management to send back Stokes. As no option left, Stokes was sent back home forcefully.

Rajasthan Royals shared a special video of Stokes being sent off by his teammates. The franchisee and the teammates gifted Stokes a special signed jersey in the name of his father Gerard Stokes, who passed away recently. Stokes felt emotional with this touching gesture and thanked all his teammates. Even fans bid an emotional farewell to Stokes by sharing heart-touching tweets about him.
