The national capital, New Delhi will be going into lockdown from 10 PM in the night till April 26th 5 AM. Announcing the lockdown, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people that this decision is taken to contain the spread of virus in the NCR as it is the second most affected state in the country.
As soon as the announcement was made, people have started rushing to wine shops. Many liquor stores in the NCR witnessed huge crowds and long queues. A picture of the same has surfaced on social media and this is going viral.
We see people waiting outside the wine shops despite the heat. They are stocking up for the future too in case the state government plans to extend the lockdown in NCR. With this sales of liquor have gone up all of a sudden and the state is able to witness some good revenues in a single day.
But people standing in long queues without maintaining social distancing might end up getting infected.
