Rajasthan Royals is the unluckiest team in this edition of IPL. It lost star all-rounder Ben Stokes a few days back as he was ruled out of the tournament due to a finger injury. Just a couple of days ago, Liam Livingstone left the tournament stating bubble fatigue. Now, star pacer Jofra Archer is ruled out of the season due to his rehab.
Archer underwent finger surgery recently and is spending time in rehab, stated England Cricket Board (ECB). The fast bowler is training with Sussex this week and is trying to get back his fitness. Apparently, he started training recently and is currently undergoing full training sessions of batting and bowling.
Royals expected Archer to return in the latter half of the tournament but now, it is confirmed that he will not be coming back. As of now, RR is left with only five overseas players and they are yet to name any new replacements. Even if they bring a couple of foreign players as replacements, they need to go under seven day quarantine period before joining the team. As of now, Rajasthan Royals played four games and won only one of them.
