Vaccine Tourism: Visit Russia & Get Sputnik V Jabs

Tourism is one of the sectors which is adversely affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Most of the countries have banned international tourists for a long time now. Meanwhile, Indians are getting a bumper offer amidst this tourism crisis. They can now travel to Russia and get two jabs of the Sputnik V vaccine.

As there is a shortage of vaccines in India, people are now showing interest in these vaccination travels. A Dubai-based company is offering a 24-day package from Delhi to Moscow. In this package, travellers will get a 20-day sightseeing itinerary in Moscow and St Petersberg, 24 breakfast and dinner meals, and also two shots of the Sputnik V vaccine. The package is worth Rs. 1.29 lakh and the vaccination costs are included in the same amount. The visitors only need to pay the visa fee.

According to a report in India Today, this tour package is getting a good response from travellers. Apparently, the first batch is set to leave on May 29 and it is fully booked with 28 passengers. The next batches will leave on June 7 and June 15.

There are no restrictions as of now for the passengers travelling from India to Russia. The Indian citizens can also apply for any type of visa in the Russian visa application centre. However, it is good to check the current travel status for any country before booking the tickets because travel restrictions can be imposed at any time.
