Tata Steel’s Great Gesture To Its Employees Succumbed To Covid-19

In a noble gesture Tata Steel Company has decided to support the family members of its employees who have passed away of Covid-19. Accordingly Tata Steel has announced that it would continue to pay the full salary of a deceased employee to their family members until their retirement age of 60 years.

In a statement, Tata Steel stated, “Tata Steel’s best-in-class social security schemes will help ensure an honourable standard of living for their families, whereby the family will get the last drawn salary till 60 years of age of the deceased employee/nominee along with medical benefits and housing facilities.”

The last drawn salary of the employee will be taken into consideration and this salary would continue until the retirement age. Along with this salary, the company would also provide medical benefits and residential facilities to the deceased employee family members.

Not just that, the Company for all its frontline employees who as part of their job, met with an unfortunate death due to Covid-19, bears all the expenses of their children’s education till graduation in India.

This is first of its kind by an Indian company and it’s a great gesture to support family members of its employees.
