Indian Cricket Team To Play With Two Teams At A Time

For the first time in the history, Indian Cricket Team will be playing two series simultaneously, with England and Sri Lanka. BCCI took this landmark decision and will be playing with two different squads in the UK and Sri Lanka.

Already, the Indian squad left for England a few days back to play the World Test Championship against New Zealand on June 18th. After this historic match, a few members of the Indian squad will stay back in England and prep up for the series against the Brits. A five-test match series between India and England will start on August 4.

Meanwhile, another Indian squad will be playing a limited-overs series with Sri Lanka in July. There will be three ODIs held between July 13th to July 18th and three T20Is from July 21st to July 26th. Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya, and Shreyas Iyer are in the contention of captaincy for this limited-overs series. On the whole, BCCI is trying to give international exposure to many young players which eventually helps in building a sustainable world-class team.
