Lockdown 5.0: Extended Till June 30 With New Guidelines

The lockdown in containment zones in India is extended until June 30. This is the fifth phase of lockdown and many more relaxations are added to this lockdown.

The government decided to extend the containment zones lockdown until June 30, with no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement of persons or goods. It requires no special permission/e-permit/pass for such movements.

With the rapid increase in the number of cases all over, the government decided to continue strict lockdown in containment areas. The nationwide curfew from 9 pm to 5 am will be continued.

The worship places for the public, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality services are allowed to open and operate businesses with COVID-19 guidelines from June 8, except or containment zones.

The decision on schools and colleges reopening will be taken in July.

Also, the decision on restarting the international air travel, Movie theaters, Gyms, Metro trains, and political meetings will be taken only after assessing the situation amid big rise in number of positive cases every day.
