Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan are all smiles at Acharya pre-release media interaction. Chiru, Charan, director Koratala Siva and actress Pooja Hegde took part in this candid Q&A session. A volley of questions were posed at the Acharya movie team and they have patiently answered them.
Who else is the best suitable for Siddha’s role. If not Ram Charan? Chiranjeevi answered, “Ram Charan as Siddha is the best co-star. If not Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan is the only best alternative for the role. But Charan didn’t left us such option.” Chiru added that Pawan would be considered if Charan couldn’t accommodate his dates.
Meanwhile, director Koratala Siva added, “Ram Charan is the first and final option I’ve considered for the role of Siddha. We have not considered any other star as media speculated.” Koratala Siva made it clear that Superstar Mahesh Babu was not the initial choice for the role of Siddha.
Talking about Acharya, Koratala Siva said that the film revolves around Dharma and how it’s relevant in the society. He said that the message of Acharya is about Dharma and its significance.
Admitting that the budget of Acharya shot up due to the delays owing to first and second wave of Covid-19 pandemic, Chiranjeevi and director Koratala Siva indicated that the interests of Acharya have shot up over Rs 50 Crore on which another film could easily be made. Siva said that the ticket prices need to be increased due to rise in the film’s budgets.
Chiranjeevi is all praise for son and co-star Ram Charan. He said Charan has delivered his best. Meanwhile, director Koratala Siva also stated that Ram Charan is on par with Chiru in emoting some scenes.
